Solidot | Tumblr is dying, the founder resigned

Yahoo in 2013 to buy light blog service TUMBLR $1.1 billion, when Yahoo promised not to intervene TUMBLR operation. By 2014, less than a year after the deal was completed, Tumblr’s activity reached its highest peak, with daily postings exceeding 106 million per cent, but today’s daily posting volume was reduced to one-third, just around 35 million. TUMBLR’s new blog creation has also been reduced to about 130,000, or one-second of its peak. The drop in postings and the number of new blogs shows that users are leaving, platforms are dying . TUMBLR co-founder David Karp on Twitter announced to leave the company.
