IBM launches QUAD9 public DNS service

IBM, global Cyber alliance and packet Clearing House co launched free QUAD9 public DNS Service ( that will block domain names associated with botnets, phishing attacks, and other malicious hosts. QUAD9 work is similar to other free public DNS, but does not return a domain name resolution that has been identified as malicious. Test displays ,quad9, which has a longer response latency than Google’s public DNS service, but QUAD9 Project members indicate that caching and adding nodes will help reduce latency. GCA’s Phil Rettinger said that QUAD9 ‘s privacy protection would not record the address of the request, but only the location data, in order to keep track of requests related to a specific malicious domain name.
