Super Speed rail way is coming

Elon Musk wouldn’t be alone on his Hyperloop-one project. A Chinese company with great fund now is seriously considering enter this uncharted territory, diving for opportunities to change the way of long-distance travelling.

China’s hyperloop will be 5 times faster than airplane

August 30, at the third China (International) Commercial Space Summit Forum held in Wuhan, Liu Shiquan, General Manager of China Aerospace Sciences and Industry Corp (CASI), revealed that they’re carried out a “high speed flight train” research demonstration, to be commercialized and market-oriented, Combining the supersonic flight technology with the rail transit technology. There will be a new generation of vehicles developed, using superconducting magnetic levitation technology and vacuum pipeline. It is committed to the supersonic “near-earth flight”.

He said that the high-speed flight of the project landing will be achieved by three-step strategy: with the maximum operating speed of 1000 km/h, 2000 km/h and 4000 km/h. The first step through 1000 km/h transport capacity to build regional inter-city flight train network, The second step through 2000 km/h transport capacity to build national super urban agglomeration Flight train network, the third step through 4000 km/h transport capacity to build “all the way” Flight train network, and eventually form a following aerospace, high-speed rail, atomic energy after China’s new business card.

Earlier, POD RACES THROUGH THE HYPERLOOP

Released by www.wired.com

The Los Angeles company leading the race to fulfill Elon Musk’s dream of tubular transit tested its pod for the first time earlier in august. That pod is 28 feet long and made of aluminum and carbon fiber. It looks a bit like a bus with a beak.

A fast bus with a beak. Once loaded into a 1,600-foot-long concrete tube in the Nevada desert, the pod hit 192 mph in about 5 seconds, using an electric propulsion system producing more than 3,000 horsepower. As the pod accelerated through the tube 11 feet in diameter, the 16 wheels retracted as magnetic levitation took over. Mag-lev—used by high-speed trains in Japan and elsewhere—reduces drag and the energy required to achieve near-supersonic speeds. It helps, too, that Hyperloop One’s engineers also pumped nearly all the air out of the tube, reducing air pressure to what you’d experience at an altitude of 200,000 feet.

“This is the dawn of the age of commercialization for the hyperloop,” says Shervin Pishevar, Hyperloop One’s executive chairman and cofounder.

China Aerospace Sciences and Industry Corp.(CASI) is the world’s first proposed ultrasonic speed ground transportation system group. At present, the world has announced the launch of more than 1000 km/h transport systems research companies mainly three, including the United States Htt Company, Hyperloop One company and CASI

CASI officials said that high-speed flight is not only closer to the distance between the city and space, at the same time it is not affected by the weather conditions, do not consume fossil energy, can be seamlessly connected with the city subway, and many other advantages, is the future development trend and technical commanding point of the field.
